Last week I posted a few pre formal photos, now we have the photos from the formal itself. The girls were in an amazing collection of gowns and the guys dressed to kill. As the night went on, the photos became more inventive in the posing, but a great time was had by all.
Colmslie Beach reserve is a fantastic park tucked away on the banks of the Brisbane river that looks especially good at this time of year with the Jacarandas in bloom. While Kellie and Sean appreciated the effect of the jacaranda flowers, Jackson, being a small boy, seemed to be more interested by the playground. Either way, the park did provide us with a wonderful backdrop for their annual family portrait shoot.

As the site grows there will be articles and posts from a variety of wedding professionals, all designed to help couples get the best result from their wedding planning.
Yesterday we were privliged to attend the wedding of Helen and Simon. They choose to celebrate the fifth anniversary of their first meeting by getting married. It is always a joy to watch two people so much in love joined in marriage. Their ceremony and reception were held under a beautiful marquee. They exchanged vows in a ceremony filled with personal touches. Not only did guests travel from near and far, (some from England, Germany and Beijing) to celebrate with them but Fritz (their fur baby) also attended the ceremony and was very well behaved. Their junior attendants were so cute and seemed to enjoy the day especially the bubbles after the ceremony.
Spent a wonderful morning at Newsted Park photographing an engagement shoot with Kristin and Matthew, accompanied by their son Jack. While most of the engagement photos were focused on Kristin and Matthew, we made sure Jack popped up in some of the shots, he was definitely too cute to ignore.
Saturday morning must have come as a relief for Sarah and JR, being greeted by a beautiful sunny day instead of the cold wet weather that lead up to their Wedding day. Having spent the morning covering the girls preparations, we met the boys at the Bulimba Sailing Clubhouse, beside the Brisbane River and awaited Sarah’s arrival for the ceremony. After the ceremony, the Bridal party walked across to the park for a few photos before moving back to the Clubhouse for the Reception.
We will be exhibiting at the Wedding Expo by the Sea at the Redlands Lions Community Hall down at Cleveland Point. It will be a great opportunity for anyone planning a wedding to talk to over 40 wedding suppliers and find out what they can offer for your wedding.
Entry if free and it is running from 9 am to 4 pm, so there is really no way you should miss out.
For Jon and Sammantha’s Wedding Reception at Gambaro’s, we had the opportunity to use our Fun Studio. This gave Jon and Sammantha’s guests an opportunity to have some photobooth style shots taken with the bride and groom and each others and a chance to have lots of fun in front of the camera.
Just a sneak peek of some photos from Sammantha and Jon’s Wedding on Saturday. St Andrew’s Uniting Church in the City provides a wonderful backdrop for the wedding ceremony. After the ceremony we moved to Roma Street Parklands for a relaxed walk while taking photos with the Bridal party.
Finally, as night fell we travelled on to Gambaro’s in Caxton Street for a fabulous reception. After the meal we set up our fun studio so that everyone could get some photo booth style photos to remember the fun of the evening, I will post some of these soon.
